I tried to read that story with an open mind, but the whole time I was pursing my lips, squinting my eyes, and shaking my head. Because we all know how things with JM worked out.
They say that riding a tandem usually accelerates the relationship, but we had been riding it over a year. Our second date was on a tandem, actually.
That being said, I'd recommend a tandem for any couple who likes to ride. It's a great way for two people of different strengths to be able to ride together and each get the workout that they want. Except up mountains, maybe. :-)
You breathing hard while JM was carrying on conversations made me laugh. *shrugging my shoulders* (sorry) heee hee! ;)
Everybody at your table got a door prize but you? Where is the justice in that!! HA! :-)
Well, at least you were able to claim the chain you wanted at the other event.
I hate French judges who give low scores, especially when you obviously put your whole effort into the jump!
That sounded like quite a nasty injury. YIKES! Seems like your neighbor could have provided you with a key or kept things unlocked so you could get in and out without resorting to such extreme measures. Does your elbow still hurt sometimes? Seems like an injury like that would never quite go all the way away. Ay-yi-yi-yi-yi!
Have a good weekend, Frank. Daisy's free advice of the day---Don't go leaping over any tall fences! :)

That's fine, Samsmama. The tandem incident was pretty much the beginning of the end.
It usually is, Frank. Usually is.

My husband really enjoys riding. Me? Not so much. I'm thinking of looking into renting some sort of cycle-rickshaw.
Yes, Samsmama, a tandem would not be for you, then. How about one of these?
YES!!! That's exactly what I had in mind! And a steal at $3,400.
